Key resharing maintenance on subnet uzr34 (II subnet) Oct 19, 2026 13:00-13:30 UTC
Subnet `uzr34` (II subnet) will be briefly paused and restarted, in order to create a backup of the new tECDSA Secp256r1 (NIST P-256) master key.
As a result, subnet `uzr34`, which hosts the Internet Identity (II) canister, will be unresponsive for approximately 5–10 minutes. During this brief downtime:
- New II sessions cannot be initiated
- Existing sessions remain unaffected
- Dapps using II will continue to operate normally for logged-in users
